WAUSAU − A record-breaking $315,000 was raised during the 2025 Festival of Trees, as confirmed by the Aspirus Health Foundation.
Taking place over Thanksgiving week at the Central Wisconsin Convention + EXPO Center in Rothschild, the event attracted over 3,800 visitors. More than 230 decorated trees, wreaths, mantels, and specialty displays contributed by community members, families, businesses, and organizations were showcased. These items were part of raffles, silent and live auctions, and various special activities throughout the week.
Funds Directed to Care Services
The festival's proceeds will benefit Aspirus comfort care and hospice services, along with the Aspirus Family House. The funding will assist in providing end-of-life hospice care via Aspirus At Home and support community bedrooms at the Aspirus Hospice House for those unable to afford stays. Additionally, it will help maintain the Aspirus Family House, which offers lodging for patients and families traveling to Wausau for specialized care or to be near loved ones during medical emergencies.
“The Festival of Trees is a beautiful reflection of what a community can accomplish,” Heather Martell, donor engagement and development specialist with the Aspirus Health Foundation, stated. “This astounding success is not about numbers; it is about neighbors coming together with open hearts to create something truly meaningful.”
