Enrollment has commenced for the upcoming 4-H Summer Camp scheduled for June 14-18, 2026. The event will take place at Rock River Christian Camp located in Polo, Illinois.

Program Details and Eligibility

This residential camp, spanning five days and four nights, is a collaborative effort between University of Illinois Extension and Rock River Christian Camp personnel. It welcomes all boys and girls who will be between 8 and 14 years old by June 14, 2026. While 4-H membership is not a prerequisite, all attendees must follow the organization's conduct guidelines.

Participants should plan to arrive between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. on June 14, 2026. Departure is set for the same time on June 18, 2026.

Camp Activities and Objectives

The camp schedule includes a variety of engaging pursuits such as nature walks, target sports, creative projects, crate stacking exercises, collaborative tasks, zip-line adventures, and aquatic recreation. Evenings will feature organized events led by 4-H counselors, including traditional campfires, game nights, and performances.

This program is designed to foster important life skills including critical thinking, personal assurance, autonomy, and cooperative abilities.

Registration Information and Deadlines

An early registration discount is available until March 1, 2026. During this period, the cost is $325 for 4-H members and $375 for others. After March 1, 2026, fees rise to $350 for members and $400 for non-members. Full payment is required by May 1, 2026.
