On Tuesday evening, Boston Police officers made an arrest in the Roxbury neighborhood after finding a firearm on a juvenile suspect.

Incident Details

The event took place at approximately 5:25 p.m. near Dudley Street and Warren Street. Officers noticed a person acting in a suspicious manner while running toward Nubian Station. The individual's movements drew attention as he swung his left arm while keeping his right arm pressed against his jacket.

Officers conducted a stop and frisk, which led to the recovery of a loaded handgun from the teenager's possession.

Weapon Information

The firearm was identified as a Sig P290RS handgun. It contained six rounds of 9mm ammunition, with one round chambered and five in the magazine. In Massachusetts, such weapons are subject to stringent legal controls.

Legal Consequences

The 15-year-old faces several charges, including:

• Carrying a Firearm Without a License

• Carrying a Loaded Firearm Without a License

• Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card

• Firearm with a Defaced Serial Number
