Disneyland Honeymoon Tradition: Couple Celebrates 70 Consecutive Anniversaries at the Park

This enchanting tale of romance features Disneyland as a central figure, showcasing a love story that has stood the test of time.

In 1955, shortly after the park's grand opening, Richard and Cynthia Borrud selected Southern California and Disneyland as their honeymoon destination.

"When we heard of Disneyland, we decided that was the ultimate destination of our honeymoon," Richard Borrud remarked. "We've been here 70 years in a row."

Annually, the pair has revisited the park to commemorate their wedding anniversary, accumulating over 70 visits to the renowned "Happiest Place on Earth." Their inaugural journey remains vivid in their minds.

"The castle - that was impressive. And the train, going through the tunnel, seeing the Grand Canyon," Cynthia Borrud recalled. "We've had wonderful memories... 70 years."

Now in their nineties, the couple demonstrates that, much like Disneyland, genuine love remains timeless and ever-charming.
