In the Logan neighborhood, a family remains in mourning more than two years after a tragic shooting claimed a life. Judith Wilson expresses her ongoing pain, stating, "I hurt every day, I hurt every single day. Its two years, two years, two years, I'm still at day one."

Her son, 32-year-old LeJon Alexandre, was killed on Thursday, October 12th, 2023, around 9 a.m. on the 200 block of West Ashdale Street. Police, who were nearby on an unrelated call, responded to gunfire and found Alexandre with a head wound.

Wilson reflects on the loss, saying, "This person, he didn't just take my son, he took a brother, an uncle, a friend." She adds, "That's my son you know, it could be any one of our children."

Broader Impact

The incident also endangered others when stray bullets struck a Metro Fleet Bus carrying elderly passengers, shattering the driver's window. The driver sustained upper-body injuries but survived, while passengers were unharmed though shaken.

Despite the passage of time, no suspect has been apprehended. Wilson appeals to the perpetrator: "Just do the right thing, and turn yourself in and at least let there be closure."

A $20,000 reward is available through the Citizens Crime Commission for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Tips can be provided anonymously by calling 215-546-8477.
