Law enforcement officials from Salem and Lynn conducted a coordinated operation resulting in the apprehension of two suspects at a residential address in Lynn.
The operation was carried out at 46 Mall Street, unit 4, following the acquisition of a judicial search warrant based on extensive investigative work.
During the search, authorities discovered crack cocaine, two untraceable firearms, an oversized ammunition magazine, and a stolen pistol.
Derrick Poe faces multiple charges related to the distribution of crack cocaine, while Chastity Black was also taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Lynn Police Chief Christopher Reddy emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in addressing criminal activities involving narcotics and weapons.
"The collaborative efforts of detectives from the Lynn Police Department and the Salem Police Department are essential to our shared mission of reducing the harm caused by illegal drugs and firearms in our communities," Reddy stated. He expressed gratitude for the commitment and courage shown by the detectives involved.
