Louisville Emerges as America's Top Christmas City in National Survey

A recent national study has crowned Louisville as the premier Christmas destination in the United States, surpassing even traditional holiday hubs.

Survey Methodology and Findings

Conducted by Casino CA, the research involved polling 3,000 Americans to determine "Ultimate Holiday Spirit Capitals" and "Bah Humbug Hotspots." It evaluated various festive activities, including holiday decorations, baking seasonal treats, viewing Christmas films, and wearing themed attire. Data was analyzed by state and city to create an index ranking locations based on their Christmas enthusiasm.

Louisville achieved the highest city score with 92.1 out of 100 points. In state rankings, Kentucky placed fourth, trailing only Utah, Connecticut, and Alabama, which secured the top three positions respectively.

Festive Behaviors in Louisville

The survey revealed that Louisville residents begin listening to Christmas music 55 days before the holiday, equating to nearly two months in advance. On average, they watch 15 Christmas movies during the season. Additionally, 98% of respondents reported enjoying baking or cooking festive treats, while 80% prefer wearing holiday-themed clothing or accessories.

Lowest-Ranked Locations

Delaware, Colorado, and Oregon were identified as the primary "Bah Humbug Hotspots," with festive scores of 3.9, 3.2, and 1.3 respectively. Among cities, New Orleans recorded the lowest score at 4.2, followed by Indianapolis at 5.4 and Cleveland at 10.2.
