The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is preparing to add a canine officer to its ranks. According to an announcement made on social media, K9 deputy Kirk will commence duties in Harrison Township starting February.
Training and Deployment
Kirk, a Belgian Malinois aged one and a half years, is undergoing specialized training alongside his assigned handler, Deputy Blake Creager. The social media statement emphasized, "Once he’s officially on duty, this K-9 team will play an important role in keeping our community safe."
This addition aims to bolster law enforcement capabilities within the township, focusing on public safety initiatives.
