Federal Charges Filed in Ohio Case
A man from Ohio is now confronting federal allegations related to child exploitation and pornography. David Mitsnefes, aged 32 and residing in Blue Ash, was set to appear in federal court in Cincinnati last week for a detention hearing.
The charges stem from accusations that he concealed spy cameras within the residences of underage victims. According to official documents, between 2021 and 2025, families of teenage victims discovered hidden cameras placed in the bedrooms of minors on multiple occasions.
Investigators allege that Mitsnefes utilized wifi connections to transfer videos of the minor occupants, often in various states of undress, directly to his iPhone. Additionally, he is accused of repeatedly taking the victims' underwear and storing these items in his own bedroom.
In November 2025, a Ring security camera reportedly captured an image of the suspect, dressed in a dark hoodie and pants, entering a home while the family was away. Following this, authorities executed searches on Mitsnefes's electronic devices, uncovering videos of the victims along with numerous images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material that had been obtained online.
A criminal complaint was unsealed on December 17, formally charging Mitsnefes with attempted sexual exploitation and possession of child pornography.
