The crash occurred at approximately 2:29 p.m. on Interstate 276, causing backups from the Bensalem Interchange to the Neshaminy Falls Mainline Toll Plaza. This information was confirmed through live traffic camera footage available on the state's traffic monitoring website.

Turnpike spokesman Crispin Havener stated in an email that the collision took place near milepost 350.8 eastbound on I-276, positioned between the Willow Grove Exit 343 and Bensalem Exit 351. Havener advised motorists to follow this detour route:

  • PA 611 North for 4.5 miles
  • PA 132 East for 11.5 miles
  • US 1 North for 0.4 mile
  • Re-enter the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Bensalem Interchange #351
