Law enforcement agencies are actively searching the south Fort Myers region for a missing teenager. The Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) is leading the effort with support from the United States Coast Guard.

Details of the Missing Individual

The individual being sought is Peter Campanella, aged 17. He is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 125 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

According to official statements, Campanella was last observed on December 21. He was reportedly using a blue and white paddle board near Bunche Beach. At the time, he was wearing a navy blue shirt and carrying an orange backpack.

Public Assistance Requested

The sheriff's office is appealing to the public for any information that could help locate the young man. "Anyone with information about the missing boy is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 239-477-1000, or 911 as applicable," officials stated.

The Coast Guard confirmed its involvement on the evening of December 21, posting on social media platform X that the agency was assisting LCSO with the search efforts.
