On Friday night, a driver commandeered a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance and initiated a police chase. The incident started in the San Fernando Valley and concluded in the Antelope Valley.

Chase Details

The stolen emergency vehicle was observed traveling on the 210 Freeway with its lights activated, trailed by multiple law enforcement units. Authorities reported that the ambulance was taken from a scene in Northridge, where fire trucks were present, though the reason for the initial response remains unclear.

The pursuit continued northbound on the 14 Freeway into the Agua Dulce region. Heavy fog eventually forced all aerial units, including news helicopters, to withdraw from following the chase.

Arrest Made

California Highway Patrol officers successfully deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody in the Palmdale area, bringing the incident to a close.
