Additional Arrest Made in Child Abuse Investigation
Charlotte authorities have apprehended another suspect linked to the fatal abuse of a young girl in the eastern part of the city.
On December 24, law enforcement officials detained Tery'n McKnight, aged 22, as part of their ongoing inquiry.
McKnight now faces legal accusations including four counts of misdemeanor child abuse and a felony charge for child abuse resulting in serious physical harm.
This arrest follows the earlier detention of two other individuals after the death of Dominique Moody.
Legal records indicate the child endured extreme mistreatment, with injuries such as fractured bones and severe skin irritation from prolonged contact with soiled diapers.
After questioning, McKnight was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has stated that their investigation remains active and ongoing.
