Unconventional Friendship Details Emerge
As more information surfaces regarding Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump, their unusual and disturbing connection becomes increasingly apparent.
Following a New York Times report on Thursday about their shared interest in "trophy hunting," investigative journalist Nicholas Confessore revealed on MS NOW that Epstein often placed Trump on speakerphone during private conversations. "We interviewed multiple former assistants and employees of Jeffrey Epstein's," Confessore stated. "He had a practice of putting Donald Trump and other prominent individuals on the phone. This served both as a demonstration of influence and a method of manipulation. 'Look at my power. I can connect with this person. I can get them on the line, put them on speaker. We're friends. That's how influential I am.'"
"It was a grooming technique, and he would include Donald Trump. Their discussions frequently involved sexual topics," Confessore added.
Shifting Narratives Over Decades
While Trump has strongly rejected any significant association with the deceased sex trafficker this year, his position has varied over time. In 2002, Trump described Epstein as a "terrific guy" to New York magazine. He penned a disturbing and suggestive birthday letter for Epstein's 50th celebration. The two were often seen together at social events with younger women and eventually resided in the same Florida community.
However, since rising to national prominence, Trump has asserted he had "no relationship" with Epstein, insisting—despite substantial evidence otherwise—that he was "not a fan of his."
Those familiar with both men believed Epstein and Trump considered each other closest companions, and Epstein reportedly shared this perception.
"I believe Jeffrey Epstein viewed himself as Donald Trump's closest friend for a time," Confessore explained. "They engaged in lengthy phone conversations about women and sexual achievements. They met at Trump Tower or Epstein's offices on Madison Avenue. They traveled on each other's aircraft and attended numerous parties together, often with younger women."
According to Confessore, these phone interactions represented Epstein's strategic use of Trump's reputation to enhance his own social status and connections.
Trump has faced no criminal charges related to Epstein or his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
Document Release Approaches
The nation stands at the brink of comprehensive disclosure about their controversial association. The administration is set to unveil the complete Epstein files on Friday, complying with legislation enacted by Congress last month.
Thus far, officials have tried to temper public anticipation regarding full document exposure. FBI Director Kash Patel maintains his agency is working to release legally permissible portions, even though Congress ordered complete disclosure.
