Wildwood Historical Society Seeks Funds to Restore Historic Tram Car

The Wildwood Historical Society has launched a fundraising initiative to restore Tram Car #8, one of the few remaining traditional Sightseer tram cars that operated along the boardwalk for more than seven decades.

According to the society, Tram Car #8 was taken out of service at the end of this summer and is now awaiting restoration.

To finance the restoration, the museum is offering 2026 Wildwood Calendars for sale online at $16.99, featuring historical images of Wildwood scenes, with shipping available.

Proceeds from calendar sales will assist in relocating the tram car to its new home, where it will be repainted in its original blue-and-yellow colors, as stated on the historical society's website.

After restoration, the tram car will be displayed as an interactive exhibit at the museum.
