President Herzog confirmed his acceptance of the invitation, mentioning that the Zionist Federation of Australia's president had also issued a separate invitation, according to statements from the President's Office.
The leaders addressed the recent terror attack at Bondi Beach during their discussion. Prime Minister Albanese conveyed his profound shock and dismay regarding the incident, which took place on the first evening of Hanukkah at the popular Sydney coastal location.

President Herzog expressed deep horror and shock over what he described as a catastrophic terror attack. He emphasized the necessity of employing all legal measures to counter what he termed an unprecedented surge in antisemitism, extremism, and jihadist terrorism.
Additionally, Herzog extended his profound condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery for those injured in the attack.
