Authorities in Massachusetts have launched an inquiry following a fatal collision involving a bicyclist and a driver who left the scene.

On Sunday at approximately 5:15 p.m., emergency personnel arrived at Stafford Road in Fall River after receiving reports of a crash. They discovered a 34-year-old male with severe injuries lying in the street.
The individual, identified as Jordyn Lyttle from Fall River, was transported to a medical facility but succumbed to his injuries.
"Initial investigation revealed that Mr. Lyttle was riding a bicycle on Stafford Road when he was struck from behind by a green 2005 Subaru Legacy that fled the scene," a spokesperson for the DA’s office said in a statement.
Officials mentioned that another car involved in the incident stayed at the location.

Detectives from the state police are collaborating with local law enforcement in Fall River to investigate the case.
