Incident in Western Germany
On Monday, a motorist struck a bus shelter in Giessen, located in western Germany, resulting in injuries to three individuals. Authorities confirmed one person sustained serious harm.
Investigations indicate the 32-year-old driver, an Azerbaijani national residing in Giessen, initially collided with two other vehicles at a traffic signal. He proceeded to drive onward before hitting the bus stop.
The man eventually halted his vehicle and was subsequently taken into custody by law enforcement officers.
A police representative stated, "The exact circumstances of the incident are currently unknown and are the subject of the investigation."
Officials did not speculate on whether the event was accidental or intentional. The surrounding area has been secured by police.
