Shooting Incident in Dayton
On Tuesday night, a shooting occurred in Dayton, leaving one individual injured, as confirmed by a Dayton Police Department sergeant at the scene.
The incident took place in the 400 block of Geneva Road, with reports of gunfire emerging after 6 p.m.
The sergeant stated that one person was hospitalized but is anticipated to recover.

A caller explained that he and his girlfriend reside in a duplex at the address and returned to retrieve money.
He mentioned his girlfriend entered through an open side door, then he heard her inquiring if someone was inside, followed by gunshots.
Community Reaction
Frederick Lyttle, who lives nearby on a street adjacent to Geneva Road, noted that police presence is uncommon in his area.
“It’s worrisome, you know, this is a close-knit neighborhood. We look out for one another, and so hopefully they’ll be apprehended soon, and hopefully they won’t cause more problems,” Lyttle said.
