Early Morning Crash Claims One Life

At around 5:53 A.M. today, a serious collision took place at the intersection of CR-473 and Lake Eustis Drive in Leesburg, Lake County.

Vehicles and Occupants Involved

The crash involved a semi-truck hauling a trailer and a Ford F-150 pickup truck. The two individuals in the semi-truck, a 67-year-old driver and a 63-year-old passenger, both from Arkansas, escaped without injuries.

In the Ford F-150, the driver was declared dead at the scene, with identification still pending. A passenger from the same vehicle was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Traffic and Investigation Updates

Due to the incident, CR-473 is currently blocked in both directions. Authorities are actively investigating the factors that led to the collision and will issue a media release when more details become available.
