Pilot Unharmed in Water Landing Incident
On Saturday evening, an amphibious aircraft experienced difficulties while attempting to land on Redwater Lake in Hawthorne, Florida. The pilot, a 69-year-old resident of Ocala, was the sole occupant and emerged from the event without any injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the incident took place at 5:15 p.m. at the location of 115 Barkley Lane. The aircraft, identified as A01, performed a hard landing on the lake surface. This impact caused the plane to skip across the water before it ultimately sank.
Authorities confirmed that no other individuals were involved or harmed. The investigation into the precise circumstances surrounding the hard landing is ongoing.
