Ankara Meeting Addresses Gaza Ceasefire Progress
On Wednesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held discussions with officials from Hamas's political bureau in Ankara. The talks focused on the current ceasefire in Gaza and efforts to transition the agreement to its subsequent phase.
During the meeting, the Hamas delegation informed Minister Fidan that they have complied with all stipulated obligations under the ceasefire arrangement. However, they expressed concern that ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza appear designed to obstruct the progression of the deal to its next stage.
Additionally, the officials raised issues regarding humanitarian assistance, noting that the current flow of aid into Gaza remains inadequate. They emphasized urgent needs for medical supplies, construction materials for shelter, and fuel to address the dire situation on the ground.
