Hit-and-Run Incident in Highland Park
Law enforcement is actively searching for a driver suspected of operating under the influence following a crash into a residential property in Highland Park. The individual fled the scene on foot after the collision.
Timeline of Events
The incident occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Sunday. Officers were already engaged in pursuit of a potential DUI suspect prior to the crash.
Authorities reported that shortly thereafter, the vehicle collided with the front of a house located near the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and N Ave 60.
The suspect, whose identity has not been released, abandoned the vehicle and escaped on foot. The individual remains at large.
Investigators currently believe the suspect was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the incident. The public is encouraged to provide any relevant information by contacting the Los Angeles Police Department.
