Police Respond to Welfare Check Call
On Monday morning, law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence in Hocking County following a request for a welfare check. The Logan Police Department received the call concerning a female resident at the location.
Discovery at the Scene
Upon arrival, officials discovered two deceased individuals inside the home. A man was located in the living room area, while a woman was found in the kitchen. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by responding authorities.
Identities and Investigation Findings
The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Jordan Chaffin and 32-year-old Coty Chaffin. According to the Logan Police Department, evidence collected at the residence suggests the incident was a murder-suicide. Investigators reported finding a firearm near the male individual.
