Police Apprehend Three Juveniles Following Vehicle Theft
In Gastonia, a police K-9 unit played a crucial role in tracking down three juveniles who attempted to escape after abandoning a stolen vehicle. The incident occurred on West Garrison Boulevard, near South Chester Street.
Corporal Canipe and his K-9 partner, Bando, were on duty when the suspects fled from the vehicle. Bando successfully located the first two juveniles, who were hiding in backyards along the 600 block of West Sixth Avenue.
Authorities later found and detained the third suspect, ensuring all individuals were taken into custody.
