The estate of late beauty mogul Sydell Miller has listed her combined penthouse at The Bristol tower for $78.9 million, nearly double her 2020 purchase price.

Luxury Penthouse in West Palm Beach Lists for $78.9 Million

In 2020, Sydell Miller acquired two unfinished condominium units on the top floor of The Bristol tower in West Palm Beach for $42.56 million. These units were later merged into a single expansive penthouse.

Property Details

The residence spans 19,853 square feet, with approximately 14,500 square feet under air conditioning. It features five bedrooms and offers panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway, Palm Beach, and the Atlantic Ocean through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Miller passed away in March 2024 at age 86. Her estate has now listed the penthouse for $78.9 million, representing a significant increase from her original investment.

Market Context

The Bristol, completed in 2020, set new standards for luxury condominiums in West Palm Beach. Its success contributed to a wave of residential development in the area during the COVID-19 building boom.

Christian Angle of Christian Angle Real Estate holds the listing, which entered the market on December 19. "We are very excited to present this one-of-a-kind 'estate in the sky' — a true luxury home in a full-service building," Angle told the Palm Beach Daily News.

Architectural Features

The penthouse was designed by architect Jeffery Smith, who also created Miller's Palm Beach mansion. The interior includes a library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a kitchen with an oversized work island, and a primary bedroom suite with a hair salon and massage room.

Notable design elements include a David Wiseman ceiling installation in the living room and custom cabinetry by furniture designer Ingrid Donat.

Historical Significance

Miller's 2020 purchase set a price record for West Palm Beach that remains unbroken. She previously owned a beachfront mansion on South Ocean Boulevard, which she sold in separate transactions totaling $147 million in 2019 and 2020.

Miller co-founded Matrix Essentials with her late husband Arnold in 1980, building a beauty products empire that funded her substantial real estate investments.
