During this holiday season, a resident of the Miami Valley region has become $100,000 wealthier thanks to a Powerball ticket.
According to the Associated Press, the enormous $1.6 billion Powerball prize went unclaimed on Monday.
The Ohio Lottery confirmed that a fortunate player from the Miami Valley secured $100,000 by matching four out of five numbers along with the Power Play multiplier.
This winning ticket was bought at a Speedway location in Huber Heights and has not yet been redeemed.
Ohio saw three such $100,000 prizes in total, with an additional $1 million ticket sold in Columbus.
The drawn numbers were 3, 18, 36, 41, 54, with the Powerball number being 7.
The jackpot has now increased to $1.7 billion, which the AP notes would rank as the fourth largest in U.S. lottery history if won.
The next drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, Christmas Eve.
