In 2025, North Carolina's economy saw a significant boost with the creation of 33,000 new employment positions. This growth was largely attributed to expansion projects by prominent corporations such as Scout Motors and Amazon.
Governor's Focus on Equal Opportunity
Governor Josh Stein, who has actively promoted business attraction efforts in the state, highlighted the need for fair job access during a conversation with Channel 9 reporter Joe Bruno.
“I really believe that no matter where you come from in North Carolina, you should have every shot to achieve your dreams,” he said. “That’s the promise of North Carolina, and delivering on that promise is what drives me and my administration.”
Stein also reviewed his administration's progress and obstacles throughout 2025, covering topics from Iryna’s Law to possible Medicaid adjustments in his discussion with Bruno.
