On Saturday evening, a Paterson resident was apprehended and charged with possession of stolen property following an incident at a New Jersey shopping center.

According to Paramus Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti, security personnel at the Nordstrom location within Westfield Garden State Plaza reported a theft around 7 p.m. The stolen items were identified as a pair of Gucci sneakers valued at approximately $880.
The press release indicated that the suspect, described as a female, quickly exited the upscale retailer and headed toward the parking area.
Police Intervention
While conducting routine patrols nearby, Sergeant Anthony Mordaga observed an individual matching the provided description entering a vehicle.
After initiating a traffic stop, Mordaga confirmed the woman was wearing the same designer footwear that had been reported missing from the store.
The 30-year-old suspect was subsequently detained and formally charged with possession of stolen property, classified as a third-degree offense.
