In an unusual holiday traffic incident, Santa and Mrs. Claus were stopped by law enforcement while driving too quickly on an Ohio roadway.
Body Camera Footage Reveals Festive Encounter
Video released by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office captures the moment an officer approaches the vehicle he had pulled over, immediately recognizing the driver.
"Santa!" the deputy exclaimed upon seeing the familiar face behind the wheel.
During the interaction, Santa informed the deputy that he possessed a concealed carry weapon permit.
"Times are rough!" the deputy responded to this revelation.
The officer explained he was stopping Santa for exceeding the speed limit.
"There goes my presents," the deputy remarked during the exchange.
According to the sheriff's office's social media post about the incident, no citation was issued. Instead, they described it as "just a friendly reminder that even sleighs need to slow down."
