On Wednesday morning, a vehicle fire erupted on Interstate 94 in Chicago, prompting a swift response from authorities.
Illinois State Police were dispatched to the northbound side of I-94 near 87th Street at approximately 8:39 a.m.
According to ISP, the car was fully engulfed in flames, but fortunately, no injuries occurred as a result of the incident.
To facilitate firefighting and cleanup operations, two lanes of the interstate were temporarily closed to traffic.
Details regarding the cause of the fire were not immediately released by officials.
