Meteorologist's Farewell Announcement
A meteorologist from News 5 WLWT-TV is preparing for her final appearance on air next week.
Katie Donovan, who joined the station in 2021, confirmed that her last broadcast will take place at 9 a.m. on Sunday, December 28.
"Today is the start of my last week at WLWT! This is a decision I'm making for my children and husband," Donovan posted on Facebook on December 21. "I'll share more about that next weekend, but for now, lets enjoy this next week together!"
Professional Background
Donovan completed her communications studies at Mount St. Joseph in Delhi before pursuing meteorology certification at Mississippi State University.
Her broadcasting career started at WHIZ in Zanesville, Ohio. She later provided weather forecasts at KWQC-TV in Davenport, Iowa, and KRDO in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Prior to her role at WLWT, Donovan served as a freelance meteorologist for Spectrum News 1 in Columbus.
