Travelers from Indiana can look forward to enhanced flight options from Indianapolis International Airport starting in 2026, as multiple airlines introduce new routes.
The airport, which experienced significant growth in 2025 with three new international flights and record passenger numbers, continues its expansion with several nonstop services announced for the coming year.
Southwest Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Allegiant Air have revealed plans for new destinations, including a previously unserved Mexican city from Indianapolis.
Southwest's Seasonal Routes
Southwest Airlines will offer seasonal nonstop flights to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Cabo route is scheduled from March 5 to April 6, 2026, targeting spring break travelers, while the San Juan service will operate during the summer months.
Cabo becomes the second Mexican city accessible via seasonal flights from Indianapolis. Regarding the San Juan route, Marsha Wurster, Indianapolis Airport Authority senior director of commercial enterprise, said when the flight was announced, "San Juan is one of the top three most traveled to destinations that Indianapolis currently does not serve."

Frontier's Domestic Expansion
Frontier Airlines, a Denver-based budget carrier, will introduce four nonstop flights from Indianapolis in 2026, including one year-round and three limited-time routes.
Beginning in March, Frontier will service Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Fort Myers, Florida, with frequencies ranging from two to four times per week.
