Violence Erupts in West Bank
Israeli media and police reported that Palestinians threw stones at Israeli settlers in the West Bank, prompting one settler to fire upon the stone-throwers. This clash led to injuries on both sides.
Police confirmed that three settlers and three Palestinians were wounded in the incident. The confrontation occurred near Route 437, close to a recently established settler farm that, according to reports, aims to displace Palestinians from grazing lands.
Authorities noted that the firearm used was a military weapon. "Under the command of the Ma’aleh Adumim station commander, [police officers] are currently operating at the scene, and an investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the incident," the police stated.
Medical Response and Aftermath
Following the clash, Magen David Adom evacuated five of the injured individuals, including two Palestinians, to Shaare Zedek Medical Center and Hadassah-University Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment. The two Palestinians were described as a man in his 30s and a 62-year-old man with serious injuries.
Another Palestinian, a 33-year-old man with minor injuries, was transported by the Palestinian Red Crescent. The farm near the incident, known as Ben Yishai Farm, overlooks Route 437 and is in an area historically inhabited by Bedouins, who have reportedly faced harassment from the farm's residents.
